Gas Level Indicator Options Available. This bottles comes with no gas level indicator as standard. You have the choice of selecting a clip on mechanical gas level indicator or the Truma Bluetooth gas level sender which will show you the gas level when fitted to the bottle. Please note : No mechanical gas level indicator, in any brand of gas bottle, can read from the very bottom to the very top of the gas level. For a more accurate and remote reading capability, from the top to the bottom of the bottle, we recommended the Truma Bluetooth Ultrasonic gas level sensor or you can in the future buy the Bluetooth sensor separately option and upgrade at a later date.
These GAS IT bottles come with our latest overfill prevention shut off fill system making the refilling process Childs play, also connecting a GAS IT bottle to your regulator is no harder than you using your normal exchange type gas bottle.
This GAS IT brand of GAS IT Gen2 Refillable gas bottle is designed to be refilled with cheap Autogas at any Autogas / LPG station in the UK and Europe. Autogas is normally sold several times cheaper than renting and exchange your normal brand of exchange gas bottles plus you have the luxury of being able to fill up when you want, and where you want. so you'll never run out of gas again.
GAS IT bottles and valve system are manufactured in Europe and are fitted with a proven automatic Overfill protection device system, meaning you simply attach the Autogas pump to your vehicle mounted LPG fillpoint, and when the gas bottle is full, it stops filling.
Do you want to keep your existing exchange type bottle as a spare, or use it till you've used all the gas in it? No problem. Its easy to have any mixture of GAS IT self refillable bottles and exchange type gas bottles because you can also use the GAS IT bottles along side your normal Calor, Flogas type exchange bottles because once the GAS IT bottles have been filled by you, they function in the same way a normal gas bottle does.
Here's the GAS IT technical bit on the options you are either required to select or are optional for you when buying this bottle.
When you see the selectable drop down menus listed alongside this product you will note some are listed asRequired and some areOption.
The Required options are parts that are needed to make this bottle work from an install point of view - from the fill point to the gas outlet pigtail / POL adaptor. (You can still select None from these required options if you already have the same parts in stock)
The Option parts are items that are designed to make the whole bottle system complete but due to variations in where your installing the bottles, the vehicle type, where you are, as we don't know what you have already fitted on your vehicle - eg, a regulator or fill adaptors if your going abroad. As we don't know your future plans then these option items are parts you need to decide yourself if you want them.

1) Gas level indicator option. This Gen2 bottle comes with no gas level display supplied, you have the option of buying a clip on mechanical indicator or the more accurate reading Truma Bluetooth gas level option when buying this bottle. If you don't want any gas level option on your bottle at all, then the selectable option lets you buy the bottle with no indicator option at all. If you want to add a gas level option in the future then you can buy a mechanical clip on gauge or GAS IT Bluetooth sensors at anytime from GAS IT and upgrade your bottle with ease.
2) Fill point. This option is where you can select if you want the UK fixed angled fill point, fixed straight fill point or either removable flat plate fill points. Fixed fill points are normally used with the 70mm body mount boxes or angled / straight fill brackets. The removable flat plates are usually fitted on the outside of the body due to the smaller 29mm hole needed to be drilled.
3) Fill point Mounting system. The 70mm body mount fill boxes require a 70mm internal hole to be drilled to allow the box to be fitted. The Angled/Straight brackets are generally used in gas lockers, under the sills of vehicle or towbars.
4) Fill point Rubber Boot. When fitting the fill points in the habitational area or under a vehicle a rubber boot to correspond to the type of fill point bought is needed to help seal the back of the fill point off so the inside of the habitational area doesn't fill up with gas when you fill. If fitting inside the habitational area you also need to purchase the 30mm vent tube to sleeve the fill hose.
5) 30mm Vent Pipe.If the fill point or fill hose is inside the habitational area then you need to buy the rubber boot and also the 30mm vent tube to sleeve the fill hose so it exits the vehicle.
6) 30mm vent pipe fitting. The 30mm vent pipe fittings allow you to seal the vent pipe when going through floors and bulkheads.
7) Fill Joining Kit & Combined Fill Hose. The bottles joining kit comes combined with the fill hose and we have automatically included all the parts including enough GAS IT lightweight fill hose to join the two bottles together, so the only thing you need to choose is picking one of the 3 lengths of GAS IT Lightweight fill hose with either an angled one end and straight the other or with 2 straight ends. The ends required depend on where and what fill point you have fitted (to make the install easier for you) and these hoses are self-assembly so if you require the hose to be shorter you can do this with ease of installation. For example, if you want a 0.89 mtr fill hose then buy the 1 mtr and cut it down accordingly.
8) Gas out pigtails or brass POL adaptor. The outlet tap on the GAS It bottles have a 21.8LH thread and not UK POL, so if you want to connect the GAS IT bottle to your existing bulkhead mounted regulator then you need to buy another pigtail from this section. We do 2 lengths and also rubber or stainless steel versions.
Alternatively if you have a UK POL pigtail already and you want to continue using the same UK POL pigtail you need to purchase the brass GAS IT Bottle Outlet convertor option to UK POL GI-ACCS-024. Also if you have a POL regulator at the end of a rubber pipe (as used on older vehicles) then this same brass adaptor will change the GAS IT bottle outlet to UK POL specification.
9) Regulator. If you don't already have a bulk head regulator on your vehicle already (for new camper builds for example) or if you want a new quality twin stage bulkhead 30mb regulator to have a spare then this is where you select the one you need. You need to make sure the regulator type on your vehicle is 30mb gas pressure and if it has 8mm copper or 10mm copper going from the regulator to the vehicle before selecting the regulator from this section. The inlet to the regulator here is W20 which is designed to take a standard pigtail, auto changeover valve or semi auto tee piece.
10) Two Bottle Outlet Joining. If you currently have one gas bottle and are use to unscrewing the pigtail and connecting it on the second gas bottle when the first runs out then our GAS IT bottles will function the same way. If you want to have a means of connecting 2 gas bottles together and don't want to keep disconnecting the pigtails then either of these 2 systems will connect to your existing BULKHEAD regulator via the W20 pigtail connection so you can connect either your exiting calor type gas bottle and a GAS IT bottle together on the outlet. These are for the gas coming out of the bottles - NOT the filling of the bottles.
11) Hi Capacity Vapour Filter. People assume all gas is clean but its not. If you want to protect your gas regulator and internal systems from dirt in the gas (from a exchange gas bottle or GAS IT refillable bottle) then this Hi Capacity GAS IT Vapour filter will connect to your vehicles pre fitted bulkhead regulator via the fitting where your current pigtail is. The GAS IT Filters are serviceable.
12) European Refill adaptors. If your traveling abroad then to refill abroad you need to buy either our 3 part European kit (which covers all EU countries) or the 5 part which also includes filters to stop mechanical dirt getting into the gas system from the fill point section.
13) Leak Detection spray. When installing any gas system or when changing any gas bottles pigtails you should be checking for leaks using a certified Leak detection Spray. This 400ml leak spray is perfect for testing your install and also the install in the future.
15) Install tools. Depending which fill point and mounting system you are fitting we have listed 3 of our most common hole saws. For more information please visit the install tools section on the GAS IT webshop.
The 2 connections - inlet and outlet, on the GAS IT bottle are the standard refillable elbow with LPG connection fitting identical to our other GAS IT bottles and GAS IT tanks, plus Gaslow, Alugas, Prakto and many more, meaning partnering them with your existing refillable of other brands of bottle is possible.
The gas outlet on the manual tap of this GAS IT Bottle is the UK specification 109 nut (21.8 LH) thread which is known as the butane nut & fitting. If you have a large blue gas bottle currently you will be fine but if you have a red bottle Propane pigtail (UK POL) fitted to your existing gas install, then you can either buy a separate new 21.8 LH pigtail or a pol to 21.8LH adaptor - both are available from ourselves at an small extra cost.
